I need your help
I have come to the realization that I am running out of recipe ideas! I knew this day would come. The meaning of this post is to ask for your help. I would greatly appreciate some suggestions for what you would like to see me make. I will consider anything at all, no matter how ridiculous it may sound. No cats or dogs, please.
In the mean time here's a delicious-looking cheeseburger:

Another fun-filled day of stress
So yesterday, on my way back from the grocery store, my car broke down on the New York State Thruway. I wasn't too worried because I have AAA. I called them up and they said they would have a tow truck sent to me within 30 minutes. Long story short, 3 HOURS LATER, the tow truck finally arrived. Their excuse was that the first truck they sent broke down so they had to send another. Just my luck. And if their truck broke down wouldn't it be common courtesy to call me and let me know this information? It's not like they were only 10 minutes late. They were 2 and a half hours late! What angered me the most was that I had purchased 3 tubs of ice cream at the grocery store for a new recipe I was going to try out and they were sitting in my trunk on this hot day for 3 hours. You can probably guess what happened there.

Fantasy Football
Another thing about football(American) season that I love is Fantasy Football! For those who are not familiar with it, it's an interactive, virtual competition in which people manage professional football players versus one another. Basically it allows people to act as general managers of a pseudo-football team. The different actions people are able to make are: drafting, trading, adding/dropping players, and changing rosters. I find it more enjoyable when you set up your own league and play with people you know. My first round draft pick this year was Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings. He's always a good choice. Setting up a fantasy team makes watching real games more interesting too because you'll have specific players from your roster to root for. I will probably have more posts about football in the coming months because it's a passion of mine.

Nutella on Waffles
I have been obsessed with Nutella lately. For those who don't know it's this delicious chocolate hazlenut spread. I have been putting Nutella on anything and everything. Anyways, this is what I've been having for breakfast for the past few days. No need for maple syrup when you have Nutella!

Football Is Here (Edit: American Football!)
I love this time of year. Summer is winding down and football season is finally upon us. Well, it's still only pre-season in the NFL. Pre-season game results do not count in the season standings of the teams, so they serve conveniently to test player candidates and to practice teamwork under game condition. The first stringers usually only play during the 1st quarter or 2, then backups come in for the rest of the game. These exhibition games may not be as entertaining as regular season or playoff games but I'm still pumped about it. The first game of the regular season officially begins on the 8th of September. I, personally, am a NY Giants fan. They beat the Bears last night. What team, if any, do you root for?

Rice Krispie Treats with Jelly Beans
I wouldn't be surprised if most of you already knew how to make this classic dessert but here's the quick and simple way that I make them.
I always tend to go a little heavy on the marshmallows. I prefer it that way. Enjoy!

Muscle Progress
This post may be a little off-topic (it's not about recipes. I guess this falls under "Other Ramblings" from the title of my blog). In fact this blog post is about as far off-topic as possible seeing as it's about fitness, and not about delicious food. About 6 months ago, as part of my New Year's Resoultion, I started lifting weights. The problem is that I haven't been able to gain much muscle. I lift weights every other day and eat plenty of food(with plenty of calories! just look at some of my recipes! increasing caloric intake is essential for muscle gain) and consume more than enough protein, but I still haven't seen much in the way of results. I had a chat with my sister who is a personal trainer(she does not approve of the recipes in this blog!) and it turns out I actually do way too much cardio! I'm on the elliptical trainer for at least 30 minutes everyday. This is hindering my muscle progress because the calories I'm burning during cardio could have been used towards building muscle instead. So now I have lowered my cardio workout to only 15 minutes every OTHER day. I hope I see some results! I'm not trying to look like a body builder or anything, just want to look good for the ladies haha.

This is my friend's bacon house! Sorry, I don't have the recipe(or building instructions) for this one but I thought it was pretty badass so I'd post it on my blog. More recipes coming soon!
